Stone & material curation

Natural character.
Considered balance.

Marble and timber have a presence of their own. A refined interior gives each material room to express its character while keeping the whole composition calm.

Luxury kitchen concept with walnut cabinetry, a pale marble island and a warm dining area
The approach

A palette with depth.

Natural stone can anchor a room through a fireplace, an island, a floor or a feature wall. Timber brings warmth and texture. The choice is about more than colour: pattern, finish, touch and maintenance all matter.

Selected samples should be viewed together under the room’s light. Actual slabs and timber finishes need approval before fabrication, and final specifications should reflect the intended use and the advice of the relevant supplier or fabricator.

The material direction

Stone and timber palettes, finish and texture studies, sample reviews, and discussion of visual layouts and edge details within the agreed design scope.

Choosing well

Beauty and
everyday use.

Some stones develop a patina. Others suit clients who prefer a more consistent finish. Marble can etch when it comes into contact with acidic spills; sealing does not prevent that reaction. The right specification depends on your expectations and the way the surface will be used.

Discuss maintenance, samples, sealing and suitability with the fabricator before the final choice. The aim is a material you enjoy living with.
